25 Years Ago...

In June 1994, we opened a new magic shop in Charlottesville, Virginia.

We called it MAGIC TRICKS.

The shop was an instant success, mainly because it was located right next to the University of Virginia campus. And because we had experience- I operated my first magic shop in NY back in 1971. We got many people started in magic, including a recent semifinalist on America's Got Talent! We hosted many well-known lecturers on the magic circuit, had our share of celebrity customers (including Dave Matthews, Wallace Shawn and Judd Nelson) and sold lots and lots and LOTS of magic tricks!

In 1995, just a year later, we launched our web business, calling it MagicTricks.com. We were the first magic shop to have an online store, and one of the earliest businesses to take credit cards over the Internet.

Here we are 25 years later, still going strong, thanks to customers like you!
