A card magic effect that uses only a few cards.
The cards are usually gimmicked.

envelope, etc.)

SUCKER EFFECT
A routine designed to lead the spectator into thinking
He "knows" how it's done, only to be surprised at the end.
MAGICIAN IN TROUBLE
A routine in which it appears that the magician has
made a mistake, like
producing the wrong card,
only to correctly perform the trick at the end.
The Insurance Policy is a classic example of this routine.
WOOFLE DUST
Called Fairy dust or Woofle dust, this is the imaginary substance
stored in the magician's pocket that supposedly makes tricks work.
Really, it is the excuse for going into your pocket
to get
rid of a vanished item!
